Watched Confession of Pain with JQ on thurs and it's quite good.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Confession of Pain, aka 伤城, is somewhat like a cross between Infernal Affairs (无间道) and Death Note, in that we know who's the murderer (bo spoiler wor!) from the start of the show.
But hor, we dunno the entire motive behind his actions and stuff...
And that's where the logical analysis part comes in, which is similar to Death Note.
(No crappy murder by writing names in notebooks, though.)
Not to mention, it's rather well filmed, although Tony Leong seems rather...deluded 1/2 the time.
As though to let us know his role lidat...
Overall, If I were to give Infernal Affairs 4 or 4.5 stars, I'll probably give Confession of Pain 3 to 3.5 stars...
Only if they hadn't revealed the murderer's identity so early in the show...

Anyway, dinner at the HK cafe at cine was nice too, though overrated and overpriced.
(think maggi goreng with tomato sauce and egg and luncheon meat...)
JQ's rather surprised when I mentioned I'll go back and try cooking it...
Well, guys can cook ok?!
Besides, rather easy mah... Only the egg and the noodle part I still trying to figure out...

Wala was packed as usual on Thurs, although thank god there's still some 'corner' seats by 8.45..
(Told ya it's the band...)
Nice as usual, + I got to listen to them play their own song Window!!! (they din play the last time...-sad-)
Too bad we left early though but oh well, skipped the midnite surcharge...
P.S. next time left side pls... I need counterweight on the left side cos of that S-shaped spine...

It's been a rather lengthy and draggy 06....
With the endless work, the endless projects, and needless to say...
endless slacking...
But met lots of great frens though, and I'll like to say...
I'm here only cos of u folks... although I'm not sure either the opposite applies to u all.
